About Us

Our Work

To be successful in this trade, we display a passion for history and Trigonometry. Nothing captivates us more than the workmanship on display from around the world, especially the beautiful buildings like we see in Europe!

We are forever being inspired with the architecture and craftsmanship shown over thousands of years of human history. Our director will spend his time site seeing when overseas, getting ideas and learning from what the masters of the trade delivered all that time ago.

At Windsor Solid Plastering, we love our craft, and will always strive for more creativity and bring the old concepts of Solid Plastering to life when given the chance!

Favourite Project

“Restoration project for Newpol Construction in East Melbourne – it was a dream job, since we got to pull all of our skills out of a hat!  Every aspect of the trade was involved – running moulds and cornice, sand and cement rendering, white setting, acrylic rendering, gyprock plastering, painting, you name it. It was awesome.” – Robbie, Director

Profile

Director: Robbie Gileno.

Growing up in Moonee Ponds (just north of Melbourne), Robbie spent much of his time with his grandfathers, both hard working Italian immigrants with exceptional work ethics.

One was a bricklayer, the other a painter. This is possibly why Robbie chose solid plastering – it was the missing link that connects bricklayers and painters! First the bricks are laid, then the plasterer works their magic, then the painter comes along to finish the job.

During these times he was enveloped in the world of construction and tradesmanship, observing the old school techniques and artistic flare that some Europeans are naturally gifted with. Trips to Rome further strengthened the resolve to work in this area.

Profiles

Plasterers: Shamsher and Aman

The newest additions to the Windsor Plastering family graduated top of the class from the prestigious Oceania Polytechnic Institute of Victoria.
Shamsher and Aman are respectful, have a great eye for detail and work like the hardest troopers Robbie has ever seen!

Both workers boast a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology from back in India (and a further Masters in IT in Australia!), but have decided they preferred a more hands-on career. From the results they have given clients over this crazy covid-filled year, we certainly think they made the right choice.

Focusing on traditional Solid Plastering and Heritage Restoration, you can be assured of a professional finish and an organised work environment when these boys are on site!
